Even in countries where BIM is well established there is a lot of confusion in defining processes and agreeing on basic terminology. There is also a lot of variation in the competence of individuals who manage and deliver BIM projects. BIM education must be based on international standards and best practice. We need a reliable benchmark for training and certification.
